&&Greet CyberBuddy Reminders &&Explain CyberBuddy is a handy tool for providing important reminders. &&Suggest Reminders can be set as: \emp\One-time Reminders &&GestureRight \emp\Yearly Reminders &&GestureLeft \emp\Monthly Reminders &&GestureRight \emp\Weekly Reminders &&GestureLeft or \emp\Daily Reminders &&GestureRight One time reminders are single event reminders, such as a Doctor Visit coming up. &&GestureLeft Yearly reminders can be used for birthdays. &&GestureRight Monthly reminders might be set for paying bills. &&GestureLeft Weekly reminders for taking out the trash. &&GestureRight Daily reminders to take your vitamins. &&Pleased \emp\You get the idea. \pau=1000\ &&Surprised When the reminder comes due, &&Announce a character will appear, &&Fly move around the screen, and attempt to get your attention, alerting you that you have a reminder. &&GetAttention Click on the character to get the reminder message. \pau=1000\ Here's how to enter reminders: &&Write First, Type the desired reminder text in the "Reminder Message" box. \pau=1000\ &&GestureDown Then, set the Date and time for the reminder, with the drop down Date and Time boxes. \pau=1000\ &&GestureRight Next, Select the Reminder type: One Time, Yearly, etc. \pau=1000\ &&GestureLeft Finally, Click the "Add Reminder" button. &&Explain When a reminder comes due, the agent character will move around the screen and call you to get your attention. &&Uncertain It will continue to do this until you click on the character. &&Explain If the reminder came due while your computer was turned off, or CyberBuddy was not running, the reminder will pop up shortly after CyberBuddy is started. &&Acknowledge Note: The reminder dates are stored in Month/Day/Year format. &&Explain When you select the date and time from the drop down calendar and time setting box, the date will be cconverted to MM/DD/YY format when it is put in the reminder list. This is done so the program has a consistent format for date checks. &&GestureDown Here's a tip for advanced users: The reminders are stored in a file named "reminders.lst" in your CyberBuddy Folder.
